The Rally's mission was to:
- Give the regional economy a shot of adrenaline through an event for networking among executives.
- Send a clear signal to both the citizens of Indiana and the rest of the world that Indiana is "open for business".
- Provide for a positive event (versus current negative news) around which business leaders could rally.
In the spring of 2002, Indiana businesses and organizations joined forces again to host Indiana Business Rally 2.0. As with the first Indiana Business Rally, it was targeted at executives and business leaders across all industries to stimulate new contacts and ultimately new business. It was also a way of uniting through optimism related to our recovering economy.
With over 200 executives and business leaders in attendance, the response from the events has been tremendous. After many requests and inquiries from the attendees, plans were made for future Indiana Business Rallies to further encourage economic growth and new business opportunities in our community.
In much the same way, this installment of the Indiana Business Rally is meant to stimulate and encourage Indiana to "get back to work" after the economic turmoil of the months following September 2008. The best way to get out of the mess we are in is to grow our way out of it just like we have in past times of economic uncertainty. Join your fellow Hoosiers in celebrating the good things that are happening and to gain new means of helping your company grow out of this recession!
